Terms & Conditions
Full payment is required to guarantee a spot on our calendar. A $50 portion of your payment is non-refundable under any circumstances. Discussing your order does not mean you are booked in with us until we have confirmed your order and payment has been made in full. If payment is not received within 3 days of receiving a quote, the spot will be given to someone else, and you will need to check back to see if that date is still available.
I do not replicate cakes. Any inspiration photos provided will be used solely as a reference to guide the design process; the final product will not be an exact replica.
Pickup Policy
For the safety and convenience of all parties, we no longer offer home pick-ups. All orders must be picked up at a designated public location, which will be communicated to you upon order confirmation. Please plan accordingly for pick-up at this location.
Late pick-ups are subject to a $10 late fee if no notice is given in advance or if you inform us of your late arrival after your scheduled pick-up time. We allow a 15-minute grace period, but any pick-ups later than that will require rescheduling. Please be respectful of our time, as late pick-ups can disrupt other orders and commitments.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be made at least five days in advance to be eligible for a 50% refund. The $50 non-refundable fee will always be retained. If any date changes need to be made, we will do our best to accommodate, but we cannot guarantee availability. Each custom-made cake requires careful planning, time, and sourcing of ingredients, which is why we are unable to offer full refunds.
Satisfaction & Acceptance Policy
Once an order has been picked up by you or your designated party, it is considered Accepted. Acceptance means that you (or your representative) have inspected the order, confirmed you are satisfied with its appearance, and taken responsibility for it.
If there is a major design error (for example: flowers instead of dinosaurs), you must inform us at the time of pickup so we can correct it before you leave. No refunds or design changes will be made for concerns raised after pickup. Minor color or design variations are not considered errors and will not be eligible for a refund.
If a major mistake in flavor is discovered after pickup (such as receiving an entirely incorrect flavor), please notify us immediately. If confirmed, you will receive a refund or credit for the portion of the cake that contained the incorrect flavor. Please note: if no flavor is specified at the time of booking, vanilla will be provided by default, and no refunds will be given for this issue.
Product Care & Liability
Butter & Bean is not liable for any damages caused by the client (e.g., improper handling and storage, during transportation, etc.) once the order is out of our care. Please note that high temperatures and direct sunlight may negatively affect your product, such as appearance and taste. Properly store your cakes and treats in a cool area away from direct heat, sunlight, or in the fridge, as required.
Allergen Disclaimer
All products are made in a home-based kitchen that contains food allergens: gluten, dairy, peanuts, eggs, and other nuts. For this reason, we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen-free product. It is the client’s responsibility to inform their guests of any allergy risks.
